Excel Gene Academy presents LTE 20, a fully focused 12-week (90-day) digital skills, job readiness and entrepreneurship programme designed to empower 20 unemployed young people from King William’s Town and surrounding communities, including Zwelitsha, Ginsberg, Dimbaza and Breidbach.

The programme aims to bridge the digital divide by giving disadvantaged youth access to computers, internet connectivity, practical ICT training and qualified facilitators. With digital skills increasingly essential for education, employment and entrepreneurship, LTE 20 equips participants with the confidence and practical abilities needed to participate in the modern digital economy.

Key Training Areas

Participants will receive hands-on training in:

  • Basic computer literacy and Microsoft Office
  • Internet browsing, email and online communication
  • Digital safety and responsible technology use
  • CV development and online job applications
  • LinkedIn and digital workplace skills
  • Coding fundamentals, website and app development
  • E-commerce and digital entrepreneurship
  • Social media marketing and online business
  • Artificial Intelligence (AI) for learning, work and business
  • Career guidance and job readiness

Who Will Benefit?

The programme targets unemployed youth, ex-Grade 12 learners, individuals with limited formal education, financially disadvantaged people and young people from surrounding rural and underserved communities.
